Here are a few things that have been top of mind recently.
- No stack: a leaner tech startup approach An interesting read about building using APIs and 3rd party services. but I probably like the title the best. I definitely am a proponent of: build fast -> build cheap -> start selling. Maybe even in reverse, and never at the expense of creating value for your customer, which should drive everything.
- Here's What a Real Growth Strategy Looks Like — Road Tested by Facebook and Remind "we were all trained to think about retention as the sign of real product value" - there are so many gems in this article on building for value and using that to fuel growth.
- Fundraise Like a Pro Using this Internal SaaS Metrics Playbook If you are building a SaaS company or know someone who is, this is one of the best posts I've read on how to measure success, growth and attract funding.
- A Bicycle, Beginner’s Mind and Getting Superbetter My Medium post this week is probably my best piece of writing. Jane McGonigal (@avantgame) tweeted, "that is the coolest thing I have read in awhile. @airjoshb is freaking AWESOME!!", which is pretty hard to top.
PS: Incubeach is going strong Tuesday mornings from 8-11 and there is some incredibly exciting stuff on the horizon that I am bringing to the realm of accelerators.
