Enhancing Cellular Function with Mitopure
posted 4 months ago in UpdatesMy box of Mitopure from Timeline Nutrition showed up just in time for marathon recovery. The effects of Urolithin A has made a lot of news, most recently for the benefits of mitophagy (the targeted destruction of damaged mitochondria) in the brain. When I was trying to pull myself out of an inflammation tailspin, it became clear that without properly functioning (and equally honed cleanup of) mitochondria it was nearly impossible for the body to get on top of healing and protein synthesis. In short, without healthy cells and the body's ability to clean out damaged cells, your body is in an inflammatory loop.Â
Urolithin A is a byproduct of the gut microbes metabolizing allagic acid, found in pomegranates and walnuts. It's difficult to get a good dose of Urolithin A from our diet due to a variety of factors and people with gut issues, a dysfunctional microbiome, or something like leaky gut will have an even harder time getting the beneficial compound from digestion. Mitopure from Timeline Nutrition claims they have 6x this powerful compound in a pure form over pomegranate juice and I'm looking forward to trying it out for the next 30 days.
