Happy Equinox With Pink Bike Energy
posted about 1 year ago in UpdatesThe fall equinox is often associated with a time of healing, abundance, and letting go of things that don't serve us, but it has often been the opposite for me. Since getting sick in 2012, my close-to-death experiences and each of my 20 surgeries have come between September and January. Even though I'm not a superstitious person, I'm typically starting to brace myself by the time the autumnal equinox comes around.Â
This year, I've been mentoring for Fleet Feet while preparing for my own event, soaking up the optimism and dedication of my pace group, and enjoying the best I've felt for years. I'm a week away from The Big Sur Trail Half Marathon, and wanting to embrace my excitement rather than uneasiness of the past.Â
For this equinox, I'm calling in "pink bike energy", named after this bike we discovered outside of a beautiful home on our Fleet Feet long run. It captures everything I want to feel — I hope you pick up this vibe and use it for yourself.
